The
Hereford Prime on-farm butchery is designed and built to meet the stringent
environmental health regulations of today. All the butchery staff are
fully trained in food hygiene ensuring that the highest standards are
preserved. To ensure absolute control, the meat is transported from the
local abattoir to the farm butchery in our own chiller van. The meat is
then hung on-the-bone at 1-4 degrees C for a minimum of 3 weeks before
being cut, packaged, labelled and blast frozen. From the butchery, complete
with a separate cooked meats area and large chiller and freezer rooms,
we provide a full range of frozen beef cuts and also an extensive range
of frozen cooked beef products. We would draw your attention to our cooked
beef products range. This is a section that we intend to expand and aim
to excel in.
For
delivery the beef is packed in polystyrene boxes and a food-safe filler
to fill any spaces in the container. Orders of frozen beef will normally
be sent out next day if received during Monday to Thursday.
Fresh meat orders can also be made if you prefer your beef not frozen,
but these orders may take from 1 to 4 weeks for despatch depending on
our chilled meat stock.
